Town with no name
A song about chasing a place you thought would feel like home — only to find out it’s not what you imagined. “Town With No Name” is the sound of searching for belonging when nowhere feels quite right.
The crossroads of my journey.
“Town With No Name” marks the next step in my story — the moment when the road finally led me somewhere, but it wasn’t what I expected. It’s about arriving, realising, and questioning whether the place you’ve been chasing was ever really home at all.
The finished picture
A more refined take on the story — every harmony, texture, and layer shaped to feel alive. I spent time making sure this one sounds the way it felt when I wrote it.
The lyrics
-
Verse One:
I woke to the sound of the engine’s cry,
Another mile, another goodbye,
The dust and the dawn are my only friends tonight.
The gas runs low but the fire won’t die,
The road keeps rollin’, and so do I,
My memories burn in the rear-view light.
Chorus One:
And I… Keep riding through the rain,
And I… Keep driving through the pain.
And I can’t outrun… What remains,
As I roam, in this Town With No Name.
Verse Two:
The nights grow cold but I won’t slow down,
Another face, another town,
The bottle don’t help it just steals more time.
The dreams I chase always fade away,
The words I had, none to stay,
I keep on losin’ every damn day.
Chorus Two:
And I… Keep riding through the rain,
And I… Keep driving through the pain.
And I can’t outrun… What remains,
As I roam, in this Town With No Name.
Bridge:
I keep ruinnin’, through the dust,
I’ve been prayin’, for someone I can trust,
But time won’t wait, and I don’t mind,
I’m just giving it all, one last ride tonight.
Chorus Three:
And I… Keep riding through the rain,
And I… Keep driving through the pain.
And I can’t outrun… What remains,
As I roam, in this Town With No Name.

Behind the song
“‘Town With No Name’ came from that strange feeling of finally getting somewhere, only to realise it wasn’t what you pictured. I’d been chasing this idea of arrival — of finally “making it” — and when I got there, it felt hollow. This song is me processing that moment; the realisation that the journey might be the only thing that truly feels like home.”
